Each year we attend many events throughout the country, from Cub and Brownie groups, Schools, Fetes, Carnivals, Country Shows, Corporate Entertainment and even Weddings.

The Falconry Centre holds a current Zoo Licence and therefore we have Full Public Liability Insurance. All our birds are legally captive bred and each professional Falconer holds a Performing Animals Licence. We also have current Animal Transportation Licences.

EDUCATIONAL DISPLAYS

We attend many Schools, Cub/Brownie Groups, WI Meetings and Birthday Parties each year. Sessions are usually performed inside (preferably a hall), and we would bring along and fly a varied selection of owls (such as: Little Owl, Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Asian Brown Wood Owl, Eagle Owls) and other raptors (such as: American Kestrel, Common Kestrel, Harris Hawk, Common Buzzard, Ferruginous Buzzard, Golden Eagle).

A session lasts around an hour and we talk about the adaptations of birds of prey, diet, habitat and conservation in the wild, as well as flying the birds. Our talks will be adapted according to the age group. For schools we can perform a number of sessions so that all the children can experience seeing these birds fly.

OUTSIDE EVENTS (School Fetes, Country Shows, Carnivals etc.)

We will bring along a varied selection of birds of prey to your event and fly them. A static display of birds, so that people can view them at close quarters, will be provided throughout the duration of your event and the Falconer will be permanently on hand to answer any questions that your guests may have.

A choice of one long or two shorter flying displays are available for your day (please specify at time of booking). As both styles of display are roughly the same in content, through experience we have found that events such as School Fetes tend to benefit more with one display and events where there is a greater flow of guests, two shorter displays are more beneficial.

Requirements: We can provide shelter for our birds and PA system for our display. All we request is a quieter part of the show ground to site our birds for the static display, preferably with a solid back behind (eg hedge or wall) approximately 20x30ft. We will use your arena for the flying display.

COST PER DAY: £285+VAT (+ travel expenses if over 50 miles)

COST FOR EVENING OUTDOOR DISPLAY (after 5pm): £200+VAT (+ travel expenses if over 50 miles)

We will bring along a selection of our birds as part of your client's corporate/ team-building event. For group rotation events we can offer a hands-on experience with our birds. This would involve guests handling and flying a varied selection of hawks and owls. If requested, we can also bring along one of our impressive eagles for guests to experience close up.

Alternatively if your client's event is a Family Funday or for just one group we will conduct displays as outlined above and involve your guests as much as possible.

OTHER EVENTS WITH THE BIRDS

As our birds are captive bred and many are hand-raised they are very used to people. Some birds have been used for Film and Television work, for example Hawk the Movie.

Our birds can also be used for promotion, such as the NSI (National Security Inspectorate). Their logo is an owl and they sponsor one of our Eagle Owls to be part of their stand at the NEC each year. He brings people to the stand and therefore the company can promote themselves to clients.
